I would like you to know …

About Jen O’Connor and www.earthanglestoys.com.

Jen and I have been friends since the first day we spoke on the telephone and I invited myself to her “by invitation only Spring Soriee”. She didn’t know who I was and I couldn’t figure out why I shouldn’t be invited … and that was the beginning of a forever friendship!

Jen is talented on so many levels and has one of the most successful on-line art galleries for American Folk Art and collectables that I know of. Every year Jen partners with the most fabulous retail establishments across the country to introduce her artists to buyers and collectors from coast to coast.

Jen and her artists will be with Phyllis Swanson at Phyllisophical located at 191 E. Main Street, Tustin, CA http://www.shopphyllis.com/ on Friday December 2nd and Saturday Dec 3rd. You must not miss Jen’s events … they are a MUST on so many levels! Click HERE to read Jen’s blog post about the event. The PIEOGRAPHY recipe submission! Tell your story in a pie recipe and win $1,000 and be published in a cookbook!

Do you love to bake pies? Do you have a great story? Would you love to be published in a cookbook? Could you use an extra $1,000 in your bank account?

WWC PRESS is producing a new publication slated for a Summer 2012 release and we would love for you to be a part of it!

PIEOGRAPHY: Where Pie Meets Biography, The Story of Your Life in a Pie

The concept is simple. We want you to share the “ingredients of your life” with our readers. We want them to visualize and taste your world in a pie of your making. What does it taste like to be a daughter, a mother, a wife, an artist, a chef, or a baker? What does it taste like to start college, be in love, walk through the door the first day of your new job, get married, raise children, lose your job, get divorced, or live happily ever after? Can you imagine the complexity or simplicity of your life right now transformed into the All-American Pie?

What combination of ingredients tell the story of your dreams … or your reality: Is your pie loaded with fresh fruit picked from backyard trees or your summer garden and one that is served for dessert? Is it a hearty main course or is it filled with home grown vegetables and to be served as a side dish? Is it baked in miniature so that it is simply a guilty pleasure when one is needed?

And with Thanksgiving coming up, it will be the perfect time to perfect your recipes and try them out on a willing crowd!

PIEOGRAPHY will tell the stories an convey the flavor of 25 very different women through the ingredients in their pie. And three of those spots will belong to some of you!

The grand prize winner will receive $1000 and publication in our cookbook.

Two runners up will be selected to also be published in our cookbook.

To enter, write an original 300-word essay and create an original pie recipe that speaks to the life and loves, the style, personal taste and medley of flavors that make up your life and email it to loraleechoate (at) gmail (dot) com with the subject line: PIEOGRAPHY ENTRY. Entry

DEADLINE FOR ENTRY IS DECEMBER 15th, 2011

Winners will be notified by email and provided with further details.

(Good luck!)
