Hi! I’m Amy. I run Mod Podge Rocks!
It’s a blog all about decoupaging with Mod Podge. If you think there can’t possibly be enough Mod Podge projects to talk about something every day, I have to completely agree with you. Yet somehow there are enough projects, and I blog every single day (sometimes twice!). Come visit me to see the wonder. I’m so happy to be here, I really can’t tell you. It’s amazing. I love looking inside people’s lives. The first thing you should know about me? My life isn’t perfect. I craft in my living room, and it’s dumpy.
I work full time and blog and try to live a good life too, so I’m constantly in a state of trying to figure out what I need to do next. That means that a lot of the time my bed looks like this.
And sometimes it’s even worse. Sometimes my laundry gets dog hair all over it right after it’s clean. And that’s because of these guys.
From left to right, they are Walker, Nellie and Roxie, and they are my roommates here at Mod Podge Command Central. They are pretty good most of the time, though things can get quite serious when they are hungry. Luckily they are cute.
I started Mod Podge Rocks about three years ago as a hobby just to see what would happen. I already have a career in Marketing and so never really thought about a career blogging. It was just for fun. Then I realized how much I love sharing creativity and connecting with people. It’s gotten a little more serious in the last two years – though I still have a full-time job, Mod Podge Rocks is definitely a “job” for me. The most fun one I’ll ever have! Here are five other things you should know about me besides what I’ve already told you: I’m an Aquarius and fit the description to a tee – my head is completely in the clouds. I’m the oldest of five children and super hard on myself. I love to laugh, have fun and make goofy faces. I’m the daughter of an alcoholic and suffer from generalized anxiety disorder. My philosophy is that you only live once – therefore I will try almost anything at least one time. As you can imagine since I’m here, I also love to create! While I feature a lot of people on my blog, I also feature my own tutorials. I’ve been making things in some capacity (whether it be sewing, knitting or Mod Podging) since I was very little.
Here are a few examples of some of my favorite projects:
Clockwise from upper left:
Make Your Own Glass Clings
Refurbished Key Portrait
Holiday Dessert Stand
Painted Acorns
Carnival Ticket Bowl
Silhouette Gift Tags
Dimensional Magic Belt Buckles
DIY Bangle Bracelets
This might sound corny, but it’s true – I love meeting new people. You are always welcome in my community. Whether you want to contribute your own creativity, see the work of others or really find out what the hay Mod Podge is all about, I’d love to have you. You can find me every single day here:
I also have two other blogs that are my pet projects, and I really want you to come visit them as well:
Décor Hacks
Crafterminds
See you soon!
