Sometimes your favorite thing sparks your creative light from within.  In the case of Sandi’s chandelier, it ignites her creative light on the inside and outside.

“Thank you for letting me share one of my favorite items in my studio!  I have many favorite things, but my recent estate sale find for $20 is my newest favorite.  This beautiful old chandelier hasn’t been wired in yet, but just having it in my French inspired studio makes the space feel finished, in a grown up way.  I have surrounded myself with favorite creations, new pieces I love and blended them with old treasures from my Mom.  Now as a person who loves to decorate I know a space is never really ‘finished’ since I love to change things often, but it is almost like the room was just waiting for this old chandy!  I love it!”

I posted about my find on my blog…    http://www.acottagemuse.blogspot.com/2013/01/hello-2013.html

As a full-time artist, a sense of isolation and the desire to make a difference led Flora Bowley to open her mind and heart to a new path.  Now, in addition to painting in her home studio in Portland, Oregon, Flora teaches workshops all over the world, runs a five-week online course several times a year, licenses her work to various companies that make and sell products worldwide, and has written a book about her unique painting process.  Through her artwork, courses, and workshops, Flora shows others that creating art can be a spiritual and transforming experience, one that is open to everyone—because we can all be artists, if we simply allow ourselves to be.
