I think it’s wonderful that Amy knew what she wanted to do at a young age and is actually doing it now. If that’s not a dream come true, I don’t know what is.
WOW…this books celebrates a wonderful “lifestyle” for women who want to life their lives to the fullest with simple “domestics”. This is what America needs to get back to the basics and appreciate the everyday, little things that have been commerialized. Things like cooking…it reminds me of when I was working full-time in a corp. office and NO ONE knew how to cook a meal…things as basic as roasting a chicken or baking a cake…even a box cake. It’s sad when the norm is to stop at the grocery store on the way home and pick up a roasted chicken dinner at the deli and a cake for dessert from the bakery all at your local store. This is whay my blog has been about for 2 1/2 years now…a lifestyle that celebrates the normal everyday beauty.
Great giveaway! Fondly, Roberta

It is so great to see this piece on Amy!
I have followed her blog and used her vintage images for a long time now. A few months ago Amy even took the time out of her busy schedule to search her vast library of images for something I was looking for.
Now thats a nice person!
Amy! I enjoyed your studio in WWC. I was tickled to see your dress form wearing one of my little knits. I appreciated you remembering me and chatting about this with Jemellia at ME, which I had to miss. Congratulations on all your many successes. I will look you up at TCC!
Hi Amy,
How fun your new book will be to read and try some of the projects. You know my 1953 Betty Crocker is my main go to cook Book!!! So simple to follow, with no fail recipes!!

Delightful is the word that repeatedly came to mind, when watching the promotional video, reading the book synopsis and wandering through the displayed pages of this lovely book. It is truly no wonder that it is “out of stock” at Amazon.com. Having grown up in the 50′s in a multi-generational home of creative, intelligent and tenacious women, I was drawn to this inspirational piece. My grandmother, who was raised on a farm in Canada, owned her own business through the depression, sewed on a Singer treadle machine long after electric machines were in every creative home, was an avid baker, canned her own vegetables, made jams, crocheted table clothes and embroidered linens, as if it were in her bones. As I begin to look at this next chapter in my own life…one I hope to be full of creative endeavors….I would love, love, love to have a copy of “Vintage Notions” to savor and turn to again and again as my “go to” reference.
How delightful to see what you have accomplished with this newest book of yours, Amy!!! To know that you are promoting the vintage arts for us and the coming generations in such a lovely format is WONDERFUL!!!! THANK YOU!!
Blessings……….~Sandie
Here is my comment and I would love the book. I don’t know how to do all the other things so this is my one entry. If I knew how to add a button or link or whatever, I would, but I don’t so I won’t. I’m technologically impaired. LOL
What an entrepreneurial passion Amy has, and I find that so inspiring. I am also a collector of vintage notions and would love to have her new book so that I may enjoy her collector’s eye as well.
