"Trimming the tree together has been a favorite tradition in my family. The anticipation of opening the storage boxes with beautiful ornaments that sparkle and shine..Also recalling precious years past with the ornaments my kids crafted in preschool…several in our homemade collection have been created at our church's advent workshop, another annual tradition our family looks forward to…Here is our tree showcasing our 2009 advent ornament."

 Meg (Brassy Apple) shares …

"One of our favorite traditions lasts all year long! After reading the book called Christmas Jars by Jason F. Wright, I was inspired to share the story with my family and start a Christmas Jar of our own! Now we put our spare change in the jar each night, watch it fill up throughout the year, and then anonymously gift the jar to someone in need in December. My kids love it and it keeps them thinking about others the entire year."

It’s always fun to learn about others special traditions at the holidays. Two years ago we started having The 4 weeks of Christmas. We get together once a week in December and eat or go to a concert or movie or play a game of monopoly and at each meeting exchange a gift each. This was my idea to get to see more of my kids after they left me with an empty nest. Of course, the gift at each meeting, was the bait for the kids and we have had so much fun doing this. Thanks so much for the giveaway. ms.cheryl
