Yes….I thought I knew my myself until last February when I opened my Inbox only to find an e-mail from Jo Packham {a name I must admit I had never heard before..which I blame on my Canadian book stores for their poor selection of American magazines} Little did I know that when Jo asked me "maybe we could work together on a project if you have some extra time" she was handing me a huge gift that would change my life forever!

That was my introduction into the world of Where Women Create/Where Women Cook…Jo's "magical fast paced..challenge yourself everyday …never knowing what is going to happen …never play it safe WORLD"!
This whole process has been a huge learning curve for me even though my role is very small…I started knowing nothing about everything… but I am so glad I uncharacteristically took a running leap at this amazing opportunity without letting my "safe rational side" talk me out of it.
All of a sudden I am in this lovely world where everyone "gets me"…we all share the same passion and interests. I have always had an artistic side but never anyone to share it with..my blog was started just for me…no one from my world was ever really interested in reading it.. and could not quite understand what all the "blogging fuss" was about. To tell you the truth most of the people around me still do not "get it". I am so thankful that I "get it" and you "get it" and Jo "saw it" in me.
Life is full of opportunities….but only if you say YES! Surprise yourself and see what happens.

Suprisingly I found Koralee’s blog a few weeks ago and absolutely adore it and her. She is so super sweet.

I love the beautiful photos with luscious colors and the quotes, especially the Thomas Edison reaffirming our own talents.

I had not gotten into reading blogs until last Spring a friend gave me the link to Heather Bullard’s blog. From there, I bought the last “Where Women Creat” and loved it! Since then, I have found so many beautiful blogs and tutorials. I would love to have the latest one along with “Where Women Cook” as I have also discovered Ree Drummond’s blog and love her recipes.

PICK ME, PICK ME!!! I confess I’ve not read WWC yet but I need to have this issue–the vintage suitcases did it for me! I kind of…um…covet them. I have about a dozen or so that I use for end tables, displays, etc. but I’ve NEVER seen an entire wall of them. Brilliant!!

I am so glad I found you ladies! I had lost my creative artistic side after graduation and jumping right into teaching. As an art teacher I realized I needed to make my own art but I never made myself find the time. That is changing. I am sitting surrounded by my sewing machine and fabric and having a ball during all this snowy mess. **crossing my fingers and hoping I win**

I’m a HUGE fan of Where Women Create! WWC inspired me to make our rarely used living/dining room into my quilt studio. I painted all four walls and ceiling purple. I LOVE it. It’s brave, it’ warm, it’s inviting and just being in there makes me feel creative. I just finished building a large cutting table. Can’t wait to get moved in. I am soooo excited. Thanks for the inspiration. Can’t wait to see the latest issue. Yay!!!

as per usual, the latest & greatest issue of WWC is a work of art! love, love love the suitcases on the cover – what a fantastic collection.
what i wanted to comment on most was the inspiring, thoughtful & moving editor’s letter. it has been perculating in the back of my brain for several days now since i picked up the issue. thank-you for this wonderful piece.
as always, i look forward to devouring the issue cover to cover. i try to to dole it out piecemeal, a bit a day so as to prolong the enjoyment. note, this does not always work!!
