Portable Scrapbook Station and a Project Life GIVEAWAY

For a long time, I defined myself as ANYTHING but creative. My space was simply too “neat and tidy” to be considered “creative chaos.” However, examine any inspirational creative and you will find that true creative success comes with a whole lot of hard work, dedication and a keen sense of individual organization.

I am the most effective in my space, when things are simplified, organized and where I need them. And, while I have access to everything in my studio space, sometimes I like to “travel” to a more family friendly area in the house.
 
One of the projects I enjoy working on at the kitchen table with the boys is simplified memory keeping with Project Life, so I’ve developed a portable scrapbooking station.

My portable scrapbooking station includes everything I need to work on my memory keeping in two small wire baskets, except the album itself.

As you can see, in the vintage baskets there is space for my Project Life title and journaling cards, everyday pens (I like fine point Sharpies) and Slick Writers (for writing on photos and other slick surfaces), date stamps and washi tape. There’s even a little bit of room for small pieces of memorabilia I am planning to use in my scrapbook.

Castle In The Air Victorian Paper House Model

Castle in the Air, is a charming shop in Berkeley, CA that specializes in hard to find and European art supplies and treasures.  It has just added over 250 amazing Victorian paper models, games, toys and scenes to their e-commerce website. Owner Karima Cammell collects them (she has over 1,000!), and over the years has become recognized as a guardian of ephemera traditions. By celebrating the models and toys in her art, workshops and store, Karima helps to keep them alive. She has reproduced them for the masses as giclee prints that are similar in weight, size and color of the originals for $15 each.
