It seems like I just can’t stick to one when it comes to our Fabulous Feature series. So many people have multiple things they truly love about their studios or work spaces. It really is hard to narrow it down to just one. Carol sent me over so many lovely photos I even had a hard time just choosing a couple to feature. I can understand why she loves so many things in her studio. I am excited for you to see just how fabulous her bulletin board of family photos and “hat lady” are.
“My bulletin board over my desk.”
“Mom’s hat lady.”
“I work in gouache which is an opaque water color. I mix the colors in these little plastic jars and just add water to them when I want to paint. They are very handy with the mixing info taped on the cover, I love the ease and simplicity that the plastic containers bring to my everyday work.”
“I have been licensing my work for over 25 + years and my website is www.caroleldridgedesigns.com. My new studio at home is painted the blue of the ocean, since I live in Marblehead only a few short blocks from the beach. The Captain and I own a boat and love the ocean. The town is built around a wonderful harbor which is the focal point of our activity especially in the summer months. My studio is filled with all sort of interesting collectibles, samples of my products, prototypes I have created, lots of my fabric, reference books, sketch books and a ton of photographs of my family. I have one entire wall that is a giant bulletin board where I hang my work in progress to watch it evolve. I have little treasures in groupings and vignettes all over the studio that is literally bursting with color and inspiration. “
