A signed copy of The Farm Chicks In The Kitchen, an assortment of Christmas gift tags and Recipe cards, courtesy of The Farm Chick herself, Serena Thompson!

What a great prize for the last day of our contest! You'll receive this wonderful cookbook signed by "Farm Chick" Serena Thompson. It's absolutely filled with delicious dishes! You'll love it! Plus, Serena is throwing in an assortment of holiday gift tags and recipe cards! Those tags will sure look great on those Christmas presents under your tree. Plus, wouldn't it be fun to make a special treat from the cookbook and give it to a friend? How about adding the recipe written on those darling cards? I'll bet that would be one happy friend! We just love Serena and all of the great things she does over at The Farm Chicks.

Meet Serena:

I bounced through the first years of my life in a hippie gypsy wagon, hand-built by my father, wandering the back roads of the U.S., Canada and Mexico.  My family eventually settled into a tiny cabin in the woods on property that was once inhabited by American Indians.  I spent my days searching for arrowheads, teaching myself to sew on a treadle sewing machine and to bake in a wood-burning stove, with no running water, refrigeration, or electricity in our home.

My family lived frugally and early on, inspired by my parent's thriftiness and style, I gained a clever knack for thrifty creativity and turning ordinary objects into something useful.  And I dreamed of the home I would create for my own family someday.

Now I'm married to my husband, Colin, we have four sweet boys, and my dreams have come true.  Along the way, I co-founded The Farm Chicks Show with my best friend and former business partner, Teri.  We went on to establishthefarmchicks.com, and authored The Farm Chicks in the Kitchen.  My next book, A Farm Chicks Christmas, will be released next year.

Teri has since retired from the business and I now run The Farm Chicks on my own.  I talk about my life as an entrepreneur, wife, mom, author, and Contributing Editor for Country Living Magazine on my blog, Facebook, andTwitter.

I think of myself as the luckiest girl in the world, doing what I love day after day.  I'm so happy to have you here and hope you'll visit often.

~Serena

Three great prizes from artist Dara Dimagno! An ornament and two custom holiday necklaces!

What better way to celebrate the thirteenth day than with THREE great prizes! Artist Dara Dimagno created these beautiful pieces just for Where Women Create, so here's your chance to own one of her one-of-a-kind works of art! We'll pick three winners, so don't forget to leave your comment.  We featured Dara in our anniversary issue, and blogged about it here: Dara's post . We just love Dara and we know you will too. Let me introduce you to Dara Dimagno …

I am a self-proclaimed antique junkie. Like a pack rat, I am always hunting for things that I can transform. Looking for new ways to use forgotten parts and bits of flotsam is challenging and oh so much fun.  My art is my  therapy after a hectic day at my real job.  After my children have drifted off to sleep I get to spend the night and wee hours of the morning playing artist. Using odd bits and pieces of vintage treasures I create one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces, holiday ornaments and  talisman wall art.  Creating keepsakes that capture moments in time, I like to  incorporate antique photos, old buttons, buckles, the words from pre-1930 books, vintage hardware, and even old German doll heads into my pieces….

Dara's jewelry is truly a work of art! She uses found objects to create something new and unique that will be treasured for generations to come. Thanks Dara for being a part of our anniversary issue and for your generous donation! Please visit Dara Dimagno at:  www.daradimagno.com

 A $20.00 Store Credit to Gussy's

Etsy store!

Maggie Whitley, AKA Gussy, has generously offered a twenty dollar store credit to her Etsy store (www.etsy.com/shop/maggiewhitley ). She has a great selection of wallets, clutches, purses, and zippered pouches. You'll love them! The only hard part will be deciding which one! Here's a little about Maggie ….

Hello, my name is Gussy, but if you call me Maggie I'll turn my head to that, too! I'm married to a super-supportive man named Zack. I typical call him Z on my blog. We were married on 06.07.08. In September 2009 we moved to Minneapolis, MN from Detroit, MI. Since then our lives have been crazy-busy as we balance work, Gussy, marriage and meeting new people. I work full-time at a large advertising agency and sew/work on Gussy in the evening and on weekends.
November 2009 marks my one year anniversary with sewing. One year ago from that date I borrowed my parent's sewing machine; I wanted to learn how to sew. With the help of many,
many books from the public library, and online video tutorials, I did. Learning to sew has been an incredible transformation.I had zero-experience when I started {is that OK to admit out loud?!}, but I had a determined spirit and a big heart for the trade.
And I'm so enjoying this wild love affair!
In March 2009 I decided Gussy would be the name of my products. I purchased a handful of embroidered twill tags and began sewing them into the seam. My awesome mom nicknamed me after Gussy the Goose fromCharlotte's Web (2006). The character, as stated on a Ty Beanie Baby tag, "always, always, always has a lot to say, say, say." Hello! That is me :) Give me your ears and I'll talk for hours!
And so, Gussy was born.
I love to sew; it makes my heart soooo happy. I love to sew a colorful ruffle and do so on almost everything I make: zipped pouches, accessory cases, clutches, wallets, coin purses — I've even made a few diaper bags and laptop bags. It is truly an evening passion that I'd love to do full-time some day. For now I'm finding contentment as I pray God will show me what He has planned for Gussy.
If you are considering learning how to sew but don't know where to start, my advice to you is this: Go to the library, checkout a few books, read over the basics and JUST DO IT! What can it hurt? What, you're afraid you're going to succeed? Every minute you doubt yourself is a minute wasted that you can't ever, ever, never ever get back.
