Don’t you just love Where Women Create. I anxiously awaited the very first issue, months and months ago, and have enjoyed every issue since. I literally drop everything when it shows up on the newsstand at

I have such an overwhelming sense of peace when I read the articles, and I want to just slip in to my own creative space…
Watercolors, color in general and experimenting with products; cards, ATC’s and of course stamps are my still waters. I have quite a collection of both wood handle and acrylic stamps, with an image or outline central to a developing idea or a project. And I am in love with ephemera and mixing media. I am an old-fashioned girl mingling the past with the latest!

I’ve only been able to visit a few blogs so far, but each has offered a glimpse into the creative souls who create in them. Kudos to Karen for such a lovely party!

I plated last year and this year plan on visiting some special places! Already seen some amazing spaces and love the personalities created b the artists!

I will try to visit as many as I can!! Even tho I had great intentions, and displayed the icon on my sidebar, I did not finish the organization of my “space” – still not fit for public display!!!! This has been so much fun being able to participate in the party and I love that it goes beyond being a “creative” person in the sense of just art and includes cooking, blogging, fashion, etc. Blogging is so inspiring and you can do it no matter what your environment and/or circumstances. When I first came upon this event I was excited just to get to see everyones spot… THEN when i finally set about visiting ( :) and yes i visited over 300 so far :) wooo hooo!! BUT…
I have to say it was a little bit intimidating. They are all soooo orgainized and FULL of every creative product there is on the planet. Mine is just a little spot where I can go– work on a project, but mostly get inspired to write my blog.
Thanks for the sponsorship– looks like it was quite the hit and am already thinking I need to move to the country and build a small cottage to get my dream studio LOL…yah like that’s going to happen.

The current isssue is my very first WWC. I totally agree about wanting to slip into my creative space. It is very inspiring indeed.
Thank you for sponsoring this great event. I am new to the blogging world and this event has given me an opportunity to meet other bloggers. Getting my workspace ready for this event was exciting, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I posted my pictures and began my visiting. The workspaces I saw were filled with so much love and pride. I came to realize that some of the blogger/artists whose work I greatly admired had beautiful workspaces. The pride they had in their workspace carried over into their creations. Their workspace/sanctuary became part of the inspiration for their art. I love my workspace, but I am already rethinking my space. I want to create a space that I can walk into with pride and the obects that leave this space will reflect the love and pride that went into creating them. Thank you again, I have learned a great deal from this experience. (Plus I have made some new friends and that’s great!)
