My Name is Margie Romney-Aslett. I am a daughter, sister, mother, friend, designer and I am just a girl who loves scrapbooking…
I started scrapbooking after the birth of my first child Megan 24 years ago. My love for paper started then. I am a scrapbooker, a paper designer, an idea girl, and lover of all that is creative. Weather that creativity comes from scrapbooking, beautiful photography, sewing, cooking, decorating, or just putting a fabulous outfit together. I have always appreciated creativity and lived a creative life.
When I was in Jr. High I started collecting the ephemera of my life. Ticket stubs, photo booth photos, menus, love notes from friends, candy wrappers etc. I would put them into a huge scrapbook my Mother had given me…I am a collector…When I was in Jr. High collecting all that fun stuff was just what I did, a hobby. When I started to formally scrapbook my children
Hey Margie…I am soooo sad that I will miss you when you are here in April…. My DH booked a trip to Thailand :( but have paid and will collect all the kits and do the stuff when I get back. Would have been sooooo nice to see you again. Wow, Margie…your dreams have come true. I was wishing you lived next door as I love to scrapbook too. Have 2 daughters, have saved efemera forever…which my husband calls “debris” & wishes to throw away. i majored in fine arts & minored in ceramics but.LOVE paper, emellishments, altered books, wearable quilts. I spent every nickel & quarter of my allowance on watercolors, lepage’s glue, paper, stars, brushes,& such. I have taught scrapbooking for 12 years as a Stampin’ Up! demo, which I no longer am. Tho’ I miss sharing ideas & the excitement of creative solutions, concepts, methods, colors &
materials, I am enjoying beng able to use any brand. Must be fun to work with your daughters. You are a lucky duck, girl! I plan to look up your sites…tho’ I am not computer savvy.
