Hi, my name is Caterina and I’m Italian.
I began to know about sewing when my two first girls were born. Now I’m a grandmother and I like to sew for my grandchildren.
Also I learned to quilt by myself, and every piece that I quilted and gave as a gift, it’s a piece of my love for families and friends, that will make memories by time to time.
I just want to say you “congratulation” and continue in this wonderful journey!
This would make a wonderful gift for my niece, who is the mother of two fabulous daughters and is expecting again–perhaps a third stylish girl is on the way? Thanks for the giveaway.
Love all the little girl pictures in such beautiful dresses! I’d love to win the book. Congratulations on having it published and seeing a dream come true!
i used to sew for my boys when they were little. now i have girls – and they are soooo much more fun to sew for but with a big family i’ve neglected the time for that (we get a hand-me-down and we are happy). recently, i am seeing the time (and need – especially by middle school when the fashions often don’t fit our taste) to sew for them. this book would be so wonderful.
I have been drooling over this book at Hobby Lobby. I want it even more now that I have heard your story. I would love to win this book thank you for the chance.
Congratulations on creating a great book! Wonderful offer from a very talented lady! I would love to sew your book’s patterns for my 3 year old granddaughter! She’s so excited every time I give her a new dress!
I too an a craft addict! I would love to have this book. I enjoy making just about anything on my sewing machine but clothing is the thing I would like more practice on. Not my forte at the moment! PICK ME!! :0)
Congratulations!!! Getting published is so huge. I’m a craft addict, too, who loves your fresh and breezy style using color, pattern, and ruffles. Love to sew and would love to win your book. Mary, do you have a website? blog? facebook? etsy? How do I keep up with you?
Would absolutely love to win this book! I am sewing clothes for my little granddaughter and she would look adorable in these! Thank you for sharing your talent.
I sewed for all three of my children when they were small – and loved every minute of it. Styles have changed so much – now I need to update my techniques and ideas to sew for the grandbabies that are starting to come. Looks like this book would be the perfect tool for that!
I just love your style and congrats on you new book i would love to have it. I am just starting out sewing and have a granddaughter that needs to look as good as your girls do please pick me Thank you so much . Cheyenne of Henderson Nv
Oh my goodness, those dresses are absolutely adorable. I love the concept behind the book. I always loved wearing dresses as a little girl – I would have been in HEAVEN if my mom made me dresses like those. (do you have adult patterns. ;)
Not another entry, just a comment – I guess the internet has spoiled me, but I’m a little disappointed that there are no direct links to Mary’s blog anywhere in the story. Guess I have to find her via Google. Certainly not a hardship on my part, of course, but linking back to Mary’s site would be helpful.
My beautiful niece Shay is a little girl with BIG Style! At only 2, she already has her own style. She would LOVE LOVE LOVE the cute outfits in Mary’s book.
Thanks for the giveaway! I have a set of 5 nieces (from one brother!) and a stash of a lot of cute yardage that is dying to be made into matching outfits from this book!!
How wonderful! The colors, the designs! How I wish I could be little again to wear these cute clothes!!!! Someone needs to do more adult ideas as it would be so fun! I can so relate to the changeover from working to being home – creativity is a good filler as it did it for me wonderfully! Wish you well and may your bliss be blessed!!
I actually just found this book @my local quilt shop..they however don’t have any in stock..so sad! I flipped thru their copy and fell in love! I have 7 children…6 of which are daughters..3 that are under 3! so this book would a tremendous blessing to my sewing days for my little ones…thanks for the opportunity to win a copy :)
Oh, if I had a little girl the outfits I would make for her would be one like these, they’re gorgeous. Now I do have a niece who’s 3 and I’ve tried to find simple sewing outfits to make but so many overwhelm me, but now, yours looks simple yet adorable. I hope I win a copy!

She has done what many of us only dream. And,…she’s put her creativity into one inspiring book. I’d LOVE a chance to get myself motivated to sew again. Enter me into this drawing, too. Thanks!
I have five children under the age of ten; three of them girls…I would love to win this book. I received a sewing machine for Christmas last year; been taking classes ever since, but dont have any sewing books yet. This one would be great.
Hi Mary,
I am a grandmother whose love for sewing began as a small child who loved to operate the foot pedal of my “Granny’s” Singer Treadle Machine. Moving forward 50 years, as a grandmother, I have began sewing for a third generation. The Peasant blouse and dress was very popular when I was a teen in the 70′s.
I found your book at Cottonwood Quilt Shop in Charlottesville, VA recently and have enjoyed reading it cover to cover. My first project was the patchwork ruffled-neck top in blues and yellow. My granddaughter was trilled to try it on and twirl around the room. Never fear, Mary, I love to make patterns my own. I added narrow elastic a inch up from the bottom of the capris for a little ruffle effect.
To coordinate her 3 month old sister, I added the patch work ruffle to the back of the little one’s matching romper. These girls will be the cutest of all at their aunt’s university graduation this weekend.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and reinventing the Peasant!!
Mary story is very wonderful, thanks for sharing it. when she spoke of her mom it reminded me of mine and all the wonderful memories crafting/learning from her. thanks for that. i would love to have your book :)
