My favorite Christmas song is A Cradle in Bethlehem by Sara Groves. I listened to this song a few years ago and have not been able to get it out of my head since. I actually listen to her Christmas album “O Holy Night” all through the year.It is that good! Thank you for a great chance to win a great giveaway!
Winter by Comateens. What, you’ve never heard of it? This is a song by an early NYC new wave group. It’s not a holiday song exactly, but it captures the often bittersweet nostalgia that winter brings. It throw it onto my holiday mixes for a little diversity. My traditional face is Little Drummer Boy by David Bowie and Bing Crosby.

LOVE Josh Groban BELIEVE! It captures the essence of Christmas with kids for me so beautifully! Polar Express is a part of our Christmas Eve tradition and I always feel warm and emotional when that song plays and I’m piled in the middle of all my littles on the sofa! Good stuff!

Favorite song….For laughs it’s Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. We used to listen to this all the time when we were younger & would use horrible country accents to sing it. Just being silly in the car on the drive to see family.
Otherwise. I love White Christmas. That’s just the song that’ll get me in the Christmas spirit. Still haven’t heard it yet this year!
I love, love, love Christmas carols– and my family can tell you– I start singing them every year before Thanksgiving and continue until New Year’s Day! They really take me back to my childhood and the joy and wonder that the Christmas season brings! :-) I think my favorite is Lullay, Lullay — it is soooo beautiful!!

Wow, another hard choice! I have to pick “Have A Holly Jolly Christmas”, because it reminds of when my boys were small and we would watch the Christmas cartoon shows on TV, leading up the the big day. It was so fun to watch their faces and see how excited they were about Christmas!
My favorite is def Mary Did You Know because it is a great reminder of the true meaning of Christmas. I love to close my eyes and listen to the words. Great song.

May favorite song of the holidays is: I’ll be Home for Christmas. It reminds me of my late father. I always think he is standing there right next to me when I hear it and all the happy memories come flooding back!

My favorite is”White Christmas” sung by Bing Crosby. I grew up in Vermont, so I LOVE(and always hope for) snow at Christmas, and the movie that this song is from takes place(mostly) at an inn in Vermont. Every time I hear his voice singing this song, I am transported back to those wonderful, snowy Christmases of my childhood!
It would have to be Bing Crosby’s White Christmas, I love this song and I can remember hearing it all my life and it really puts me in the Christmas mood.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays by N Sync – yes so teen pop from a few years ago BUT it is so upbeat and cheery and definitely friendly to other religious beliefs. While I’m a Christian I love that the song says “No matter what you’re holiday, it’s time to celebrate.” Also the song highlights that it’s a time of year based around the family which is so perfect. I love the holidays for being able to spend time with the family. My mom and I start the Christmas music playing in mid-November to my step-dad’s chagrin! ( :

That’s a hard question. My favorite song changes all the time. But I think right now my favorite Christmas song would have to be “It’s About the Cross” sung by both Go Fish and the Ball Brothers. I really like it because it shows very well why I celebrate Christmas. :)

My favorite Christmas Song is Away in a Manger. It’s a simple song, but reveals the true meaning of why we celebrate Christmas – the birth of a child – Jesus. It’s a song that takes me back to childhood days. Here is a little more history:
Away in a manager is always the first carol that children are taught. Away in a Manger was originally published in 1885. The publication of Away in a Manger was in a Lutheran Sunday school book and this created the misconception that the lyrics of Away in a Manger were actually written by Martin Luther himself. The author is unknown. The music to the Away in a Manger carol was composed by William J. Kirkpatrick in 1895.

The Carol of the Bells has always been one of favorites. I love the “twinkling” sound of the music. It always makes me stop and listen.
“O Come All Ye Faithful” has got to be my favorite … of course, all the traditional Christmas carols are wonderful. I love Amy Grant’s version of “O Come All Ye Faithful”, but I love to hear it sung by the Kids’ Choir at church too!

Oh my this one makes me feel so warm and cozy when Nat sings, the melody of his voice is so soothing along with the beautiful cozy lyrics! It ALWAYS makes me feel at home, and makes me reflect on my childhood memories of Christmas pasts and all the family gatherings and dinners with the anticipation of Santa coming! I love love love this song!
Oh Come All Ye Faithful, beautiful and moving. I especially love the version that Luther Vandross sang, his voice gives me the chills. Perfect holiday song.
My favorite Christmas song is Good Kink Wenceslas because it remind me of being little again as I never hear the song anymore.
All Christmas music is wonderful and I have several favorites. Little Drummer Boy is a favorite from childhood. We had a music box that played that song when I was growing up. Hearing that song always puts me in the Christmas mood!

Oops, I forgot to answer the question. My favorite holiday tune is “The Little Drummer Boy” as sung by Bing Crosby and David Bowie. But then I have always liked the music and the animated version of the Little Drummer Boy. My second favorite is the “Heat Miser/Snow Miser” song from “The Year Without A Santa Clause”. I suppose I like this one because the Heat Miser has red hair like my husband, and they argue just like my won teenage boys do.

my favorite is Silent Night – reminds me of when I used to live in my country “Mexico” and celebrated the posadas – nine days prior to the 24th with everyone in the community, and singing this song on the 24th as everyone came together to celebrate the birth of Jesus! I miss all these celebrations – and this song brings back all those beautiful memories I lived as a child!

That is a very difficult question to answer. If you asked which I didn’t like, I could answere that much faster since the numbers are miniscule. I would say, my favorite Holiday Song is Sleigh Ride. It always brings a smile to my face and I remember playing that in the High School band during our Christmas Concerts.
“What Child is This” Whenever I hum this is the tune. I hummed it or I sang it to my daughter and then my grandchildren. I hum it while doing house work, I hum it while in the shower. Don’t know why for sure – I think it was one of my mother’s favorites.
Have to add a second one that is quite a bit different: “Ay, Ay, Ay, It’s Christmas” by Ricky Martin – makes me dance!

I must say my family loves “I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas!” It is a fun, catchy kids tune that I just can’t get enough of! It is literally the top song on our Christmas playlist and the one song my 6 and 9 year olds ask for repeatedly!

I love “O Holy Night” because it’s the song my mother sang when she was pregnant with me. My grandmother was in the audience and watched my pregnant mother sing this song a capella on the stage of an old mission in Santa Barbara. She kept poking everyone, “That is MY daughter-in-law!” She sang it to me all through my childhoold and I now sing it to my girls, I get teary-eyed every time.
Joy to the World. I would say because the song is upbeat, the meaning, AND its the only one I can play on the piano!

My favorite Christmas song is “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”. I think it perfectly captures the warmth, longing, and sometimes bittersweet nature of the holidays–as I get older, the line, “Through the years we all will be together, if the fates allow…” rings true with me, and it is kind of comforting to have those emotions acknowledged at holiday time.
Favorite holiday song is Johnny Mathis “Sleigh Ride”. Remember it as a kid and thinking it was so happy and marked the beginning of the season! :)

I’ve always loved “O Holy Night” as a traditional song. Yesterday I heard the most beautiful song called “Where’s the line to see Jesus?” The video is also awesome. You can google it, and see it on You Tube. The girl has an amazing voice.

Silent Night. Growing up in a lutheran church, Christmas eve service always seems to end in everyone holding candles, lite by the ushers, and signing Silent Night. The kids then receive a brown bag full of fruits, nuts and candies :) Sweet memories!

Carol of the Bells for sure and Baby It’s Cold Outside. I really love nearly all of the traditional Christmas carols. My absolute favorite thing to do though is annoy my teenage daughter by making my own carols using everyday chores & things as the words to the traditional tunes :)

I first heard it when my father played it for me several years ago. It still brings back memories of a happier time: when my children were still small, I was in good health, and we lived where it was warm in Winter!

My favorite is bing crosby’s “white Christmas” because of the movie adaptation of Kurt vonnegut’s novel “mother night”.
my favorite Christmas song changes every year, but right now it is Deck The Rooftop from last year’s Glee album. That song gets me moving and I can’t not sing along. I play it 5 or 6 times in a row every time!
“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” – It embodies everything I feel and always makes me smile.

Jingle Bell is one of my favorite songs at Christmas. I taught Preschool for 29 years and always loved to hear the kids sing this and see their excitement over the Holiday season.
Favorite song is Winter Wonderland because my kids walk around singing it for the entire month of December and I LOVE listening to their happy tune of Christmas songs.

Right now it’s Santa Baby…my kids (boy 5, girl 5, and boy 7) have always loved this song (the Ertha Kitt (sp?) version, of course)…but this year my soon-to-be-8 yr old figured out that it’s not about a real baby, it’s (in his what I can only describe as “hubba-hubba” voice) Santa *BABY*!

My favorite holiday song is … “Silent Night.” There are a lot of holiday songs that play over and over at work and grate on my nerves (I’m looking at you, Jingle Bell Rock), but this one never does. It’s beautiful and simple and always comforting to hear.

“White Christmas” sung by Bing Crosby because every year at Christmas my mom, sister and I watch the movie White Christmas while making Christmas cookies or gifts. We can watch it over and over again all weekend and it never gets old. The first Holiday song that springs to mind is “I’ll be home for Christmas” because no matter who sings it, the feeling is the same…home, hearth, warm family traditions and love. That longing for the home that we remember and a promise to try to keep that spirit in ourselves even as we grow and start our own traditions. I’m such a boob, I get all teary-eyed just thinking about it. Yay for the Holiday Season!

My favorite holiday song is White Christmas (though the Chipmunks are a close second). Growing up in Oregon, there were very few white Christmases, but the song takes me back to watching the movie on Christmas eve at my Aunt’s house. Black and white TV, cousins around, drinking cocoa; adults drinking their cocoa with something stronger, playing cards behind us. Simpler times. . .good memories.
It’s technically not a Christmas song, but it is played a lot during the season – I like the traditional version of “Ave Maria”. It is such a beautiful song, and honors our Blessed Mother.
I love Christmas music….Jingle Bell Rock and the Snoopy song are 2 of my favs, When you hear the Snoopy song here, you know Christmas isn’t far away.

Right this minute it is Jingle Bells sung out of tune and quite loudly by my 2 and 4 year old grand daughters! The kids enjoy the song and the season and know that they are celebrating Jesus’ birth and that makes me happy.

I have to admit that I still love all those songs sung by Alvin and the Chipmunks. I can still remember the excitement I felt at knowing my parents bought that record for ME, and all those songs were for ME to sing along to. I have been listening to Christmas music all day at work and I have to say I just love the song Breath of Heaven (Mary’s Song) it is from Marys perspective and its a very beautiful song. It just touches me in such a special every time I hear it. Can you imagine what Mary was thinking and the faith that Joseph and her both had to have. It is an incredible song that reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas.

I am very sentimental and Christmas is a time that the world sets aside to celebrate the birth of our Jesus and spend wonderful time together with our families. I love O Come, O Come Emmanuel, it’s the perfect Advent song and the use of descending minor harmonics is gorgeous. It can be happy or sad depending on how it’s performed, lovely.
Favorite holiday song – “In the Bleak Midwinter” It’s so quiet, peaceful, reflective and hopeful; the music together with the words help me take a needed deep breath and be calm, even for just a few minutes.

My favourite has got to be ‘Away in a Manger’. During the kids’ carol service at school, they sing the first verse so confidently but by the third verse, their voices have started to fade and the parents have to sing it for them. It always makes me smile, it’s almost like they’re letting us join in.

To pick just one is difficult. Can I pick two? I love White Christmas, because this song reminds me of the wonderful feeling you get when it snows at Christmas time. Even though it doesn’t usally snow at Christmas time where I live. My second is Rockin’ Around The Christmas tree because we have had some of the best imprumptu dance sessions at our home when this song comes on.
Love it. I have a dancing Santa that I sit on top of buffet at work with the wassail and popcorn that sings that song. It plays until someon secretly has the nerve to get passed me and turn it off. Happy Holidays.

My favorite holiday song is Feliz Navidad by Jose Feliciano , we would always gather at my grandparents house for Christmas and this song was always playing. I’ve now this song my entire life and every time I hear this song at Christmas It takes me back to my childhood, I could smell the tamales, the smell of the X-mas tree ,dancing and singing this song with my cousins. I’m 35 and to see the little ones singing and dancing to this song and enjoying the song as much as I do is priceless.

I have always loved “White Christmas.” My Dad had it on record and every year while we were decorating our little house, he would put it on the turn table and we would all sing along. The funny part was my Mom didn’t really like the song but since it was my favorite she would grin and grit through it, it also seemed her egg nog would go down a bit fast too lol. I still listen to this song and it brings back those fun memories.

My favorite Christmas song is “Christmas Shoes.” it’s about a little boy who wants to buy some nice shoes for his momma so she looks nice when she goes to see Jesus. You see, she’s in a hospital and dying soon. The boy doesn’t have enough money and a stranger in line behind him helps him buy the shoes after hearing the story. I love this song because during the holidays most people forget what Christmas is all about, they get greedy materialistic. This song reminds me of the meaning of Christmas and it gets to me every time I hear it.

It’s actually ironic that I came across this question today in a giveaway. Just to explain why “Silent Night” is my favorite song….I’ll have to provide some details.
Today has been an extremely rough day; I am doing everything I can to occupy my mind. My Grandmother whom raised me as a baby is expecting to pass away soon. She played the role as my mother and father and we have always had a very close bond. When I got the call I was driving to pick up my daughter from school. I began reminiscing about the times my grandmother and I would decorate for Christmas, all the goodies we would make and how she would always cuddle me and sing “Silent Night”. I believe she even sang it during other months. I always loved the tone of her voice as she sang this song, more than any other song. I can still hear her voice singing “Silent Night” in my head. I now sing the song at night to my daughters and maybe one day they will do the same to their children.
For those of you who believe in prayer, I would greatly appreciate it if you could say a prayer for my family and I. I am praying that when she does go home to be with the Lord, that I will find the strength to carry on and to keep her spirit alive. I want my girls who are currently 3 and 5 to remember the amazing woman who raised their mother and why the song “Silent Night” is so special to me.

Fav Holiday Song … Oh, Holy Night … because my brother who is mighty good on a trumpet would play this song at Christmas concerts as a soloist and it was so powerful the way that trumpet sound filled a church or a hall. The song gives me goosebumps to this day.

Okay I know you said one! Santa Baby by Eartha Kitts, Merry Christmas Baby by BB King and All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey. BUT I attended a christian private school and every year we performed a Christmas pagent SO all the traditional songs are my favorites like Silent Night, Little town of Bethleham etc.
I think that my favorite holiday song is one that my boyfriend sang in chorus in grade school and he taught to me, 30 years later. I don’t know the name of it, but the chorus is, “Santa Claus, Santa Claus, you are much too fat. I was sleeping peacefully and now my bed is flat. Oh, Santa Claus, Santa Claus, how much do you weigh? I’m glad I’m not a reindeer that has to pull your sleigh!” The verses are hilarious! He started singing in one time and I caught on to it, now we sing it whenever one of us needs to laugh.

Gene Autry’s “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”. We still have the album! This song brings back memories of my mother. In December, Mom had Christmas music playing when we got home from school, we baked cookies (little wreaths with cinnamon red-hots), made fudge and caramels, decorated…….all the usual stuff. Miss her every day, but especially in December.

I have many favorite holiday songs but Silver Bells is on the top of the list. As a little girl we would drive from Colorado to North Dakota to grandpa and grandma’s every year for christmas…that song would play often on the the static filled AM radio station that we would randomly tune in to as we would drive for hours. When we’d get to the little towns in North Dakota, that song was magic coming alive to me because in the big city you didn’t see ‘Children laughing, people passing, meeting smile after smile and on every street corner you’ll hear” , there were ‘strings of steet lights, even stop lights blink a bright red and green” and the town just swinging in tinsel and outdoor christmas music and friendly townsfolk bustling down the crunchy snowy sidewalks, greeting everyone! It just seemed magical to a wide eyed city girl and I think of it every time I hear the song Silver Bells because it describes so much of that childhood memory in the song. I could have just cried when our teeanage daughter sang it as a solo last year at the school choir concert…beautiful!

Fav Christmas song : Here we come a wassailing and here is the reason – it is the one song my girls sing at the top of their lungs with the windows of the car rolled down as we leave the church parking lot after Christmas eve service. I just love Born on Christmas Day. It is written by Brad Paisley (it’s on his Christmas album). He wrote it when he was a kid and on the album the song starts with him singing when he was 13 and transitions into him singing as an adult. At the end the two sing together. The words are amazing. Check it out if you have never heard it.
My favorite Xmas song is “Christmas Cookies” by George Strait. It’s a country song about a man who loves his sweetheart’s Christmas sugar cookies – it’s funny and sweet and reminds me of why baking cookies with my family is my favorite part of the holiday season.

My favorite is Silent Night. Such a beautiful song that I remember being sung at our church’s candlelight service.
Fabulous giveaway! So many favourite songs to choose from, but i think I’d have to agree with others who chose White Christmas.
I’d say my favourite Christmas song would have to be ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’. I remember singing it at school and now I sing it with my kids. There are a few different versions of it now and I like the traditional and also the Australian version of it.
I know that my favorite Christmas song is “Silent Night”. The reason is because my Grandma would always have my cousins and I to sing it every Christmas night at her farm house. Everytime I hear Silent Night I always think of those precious moments and her.
Joy to the World, and every time I sing it on Christmas Eve, I tear up as I can feel the joy of Christ’s birth overcome me!
My favorite song is All I Want for Christmas is You by Mariah Carey. All my life I wanted to be a mom and this year my wish came true. My new adopted little 15 month old girl and I ROCK OUT to this song and she and I both love it. This will be the merriest of Christmases because I got exactly what I wanted!!
My favorite holiday song is Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song”. I’ve been listening to this song for decades and I never get tired of it. What a voice that man had!
I like Jingle Bells. It was actually written in the town where I live. It’s about the sleigh races take took place just a few blocks from my house.

I love ‘Christmas In New York’ by the Pogues. It reminds me of high school and singing it in the car with my best friend. She now lives half a world away, but when I hear it I always think of her.

“Its a Marshmellow World” by Bing Crosby has to top the charts for me as far as Christmas songs go.
My favorite Christmas Song is Oh Holy Night – I love the way it starts slow, telling the story, and then builds to this tremendous crescendo. It always gives me goosebumps.
My second favorite is The Little Drummer Boy because I remember taking my baby doll to school to play the baby Jesus and I was Mary, singing for the school concert. And then I remember both my daughters playing Mary too.

My favorite holiday song is, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas”. When I was little my older brother was in the Vietnam war. My mom missed him terribly, and used to sing that song with tears in her eyes at Christmas time. None of us 5 kids could comfort my mom at Christmas while Gary was gone. Letters were far and far between, and we knew he was on the front lines fighting hard. Then we all got the surprise of our life when Gary walked in at Christmas time! The song took on a happier tone, and it has stuck with me ever sense.

Baby It’s Cold Outside. I like the jazz sound of it. Not too commercial and I like the fact that is a duet and when you see the song performed it is fun to see what actions are applied to the song.

My favorite song – when I MUST pick one and only one – is The Little Drummer Boy. In grade school, the girls in my class did a choreographed routine to the song. Ever since, it has been my most favorite. Though there are many close behind!
My favorite song during Christmas is Beautiful Star of Bethlehem.. its a beautiful bluegrass version that I play over & over. But the most favorite song I love is Drummer Boy..what can I bring him..my worship to our King! He doesn’t need our things.. he can use our hearts.

I love the traditional carols–my favorites are “Away In a Manger” with a lovely melody by William Kirkpatrick and “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming”, but Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” is just like snuggling up under a cozy blanket in front of a fire!

I am not sure if this is a holiday song, but it usually plays during the holidays – “Baby, it’s cold outside.” I love the juxtaposition of the male and female voices, the implied naughtiness mingling with the being a good girl. I am all about being playful, contrasts, and mystery! Love it!!!

My favorite Christmas carol is The Little Drummer Boy. I have memories of watching the show every Christmas with my mom when I was a kid. It was always one of my favorites that I looked forward to. I love the story and message of the song. I am not overly religious, but I love the fact that the Christmas story is said so well in that song. I also have this great memory of my little sister singing that song during a Christmas program when she was 12 years old. I love how it sounded in her young girl voice and I can still hear it in my memories today.
Honestly, a lot of holiday songs make me teary-eyed! So, I would have to say that my favorite is “Baby It’s Cold Outside” because it always makes me smile and there have been just SO MANY great covers of it! It never gets old!

I love Silent Night, especially when it is sung in candle light at church on Christmas Eve.

I don’t know why but one I enjoy is “Feliz Navidad”. I can’t forget “The 12 Days of Christmas”. But the one I like for this song is when they sing about The lights going out on the tree, visiting the in-laws. It is so true, especially the light problems. We have a GREAT New Orleans version of this song called “The 12 Yats of Christmas”.

White Christmas, it always takes me back to my childhood memories.
My favourite holiday song is Silent Night. I have always loved that song but it wasn’t until we had a baby girl born December 5, 1993 did it have special meaning. Our angel Laura was born with Trisomy 18 and she did not survive. This song gave me strength.
We now have four children who keep our Christmas spirit every day.

My favorite song is “Winter Wonderland” because I began reading it to our fourth child when he turned one on November 20, 2005 and he immediately took to th song, memorized it and hasn’t stopped singing since… There’s nothing like a little opera and Elvis loving 7 year old to brighten a grouchy day.
My favorite holiday song is Mary’s Boy Child. I like both the modern Boney M version and the original. They really speak to the meaning of Christmas and have a great beat, too.

When I sing “O Come All Ye Faithful” – then I really know its Christmas! I love singing this song on Christmas Day with my family but even hearing it playing in the stores brings tears to my eyes and reminds me of the true meaning of Christmas. My fave Christmas carol…and there are many… is Away in a manger. I remember as a little girl, my mum singing it to me at Christmas and I remember being so proud when I had learned all the words. Over the years it is the one I sang/hummed to calm my babies, the one that always brings a tear to my eye and the one with so many happy memories……

Second, in fourth grade, we memorized all the obscure verses to this song. And I loved it! I still do. “Myrrh is mine, it’s bitter perfume, breathes of life of gathering gloom” A bit dark, but I loved it then and do now!

My favorite holiday song is Our Love is Like a Holiday by Micheal Bolton. Not sure what it is about the song but everytime I hear it I just have to turn it up and dance with my kids. I just love that it is not your everyday holiday song.
I just love them all, so that is a tough question. I think Deck the Halls is a happy song and expresses the sentiments of the season. And I can sing along with it too!

It’s a simple reason, but there is beauty in simplicity…. I was home from college visiting my parents and my boyfriend (now my husband) had come home with me for the holidays. We went for a walk and commented on the cool night air and the starry skies of south Texas. All was peaceful and calm and all was right with the world. I went to bed that night listening to the radio and that song was playing. I drifted off to sleep with a smile on my face contemplating the beauty of appreciating those in our lives as our greatest gifts. Every time I hear the song “O Holy Night” I go back to that night so many years ago…

“I’ll be home for Christmas” is my favorite Christmas song. Although I know my parents won’t be home for Christmas I still dream of them. How they loved the season! I lost them 14 months apart and Christmas was their favorite time.
Also I think of the men and women that have gone to war for us, hoping they will be home soon.

Here in Australia, because it is so hot at Christmas an appropriate song is by a group called Hi-5 singing “Santa Wear Your Shorts”! Check out the lyrics. Very funny and the kids here love it!

The Christmas Song, by Nat King Cole is one of my favorites. his smooth silky voice, reminding us of what makes up the warmth of the season. It takes me back to a simpler time in life, were people paused to connect with one another through these simple things. Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, jack Frost nipping at your nose, yule tide carols being sung by a choir.

“Rudolph the red nosed reindeer” if my favorite Christmas song. I have always loved the song and the movie as a child. I worked at Montgomery Wards in the office when I was in my teens. One of the Bosses came in one day who just happened to be Robert L. May who wrote the original Rudoph story. He gave me a signed copy of his story.
It touched & blessed my heart that he would stop and do this for me so much.
This year I have been loving Tchaikovsky’s, “The Nutcracker Suite’. The reason I’m loving it so much is because it takes me back to when I danced in Utah’s Ballet West production of ‘The Nutcracker’ as a child. I can still remember the dance choreography and have been teaching it to my 3 year old.

Baby it’s Cold Outside. I love this song because its slow and sweet. I love decorating to it because I can sing along and dance back and forth. You can dance with you love, whether its your spouse or your children. In the south we don’t always get the cold weather, but with this song its so easy to pretend that you are taking shelter with those you care about inside your house. It just brings everyone together.
Away in A Manager is my favorite Christmas song. I feel like it embraces the true meaning of the holiday and give me chills when I hear it.

Thanks for the early Christmas with all these wonderful gifts. I love almost all Christmas music, but my favorite is Silent Night. It is one we sing each time we are all together for our Christmas celebration, and I love hearing my daughter play it on the piano and hearing the grandchildren singing along so sincerely and so sweetly.

I’m not certain if the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah qualifies, but it’s my absolute favorite. It’s majestic, and it was always sung at Christmas time by the Choir I was in in high school. I cannot NOT sing it, if I hear it – Ii am COMPELLED to at least mouth along the words with a trickle of sound.

Definitely in favor of all the traditional songs. I really like “oh Holy Night” and “Mary Did you Know.” Nothing like a true Christmas song in the midst of all the silly songs this time of year. I like those two songs because I believe they are great examples of the true meaning of Christmas.
“Away in a Manger” I have sung it since I was a child and used it as a lullaby for my babies. I still can’t get through it without tears coming to my eyes ~ our Saviour came to us as a babe!
I love “Oh Holy Night” and the version by Celine is amazing! It’s the “reason for the season”! Love Monica’s stuff!! Really great! :)
My favorite song is “O Holy Night!” It’s a beautiful song that is so touching, regardless of how many times you hear it. It’s always just as beautiful as the first time. :)
Frosty the Snowman- I relate it to watching the cartoon as a kid and see the whole story in my head.
The Little Drummer Boy. It reminds me of Christmas as a child and brings me back to holiday memories at my Grandmother’s house. She had an old stereo , one of those long cabinet type ones and this one Christmas album that I think we wore out when we were kids.
I love, love, love the song Walking In the Air from the movie The Snowman. It is sort of a dreamy, magical kind of song that transports me into the Christmas season.
My favorite holiday song is Santa Baby, by Eartha Kitt. My daughter (when she was 2) started calling the big guy “Santa Baby” every time she saw him because of that song. It was the cutest thing – everywhere we went that year she would say “Look Mama, Santa Baby!”
Hearing my 2-year-old daughter sing “Jingle Bells” is the sweetest sound in the world – so right now that is my favorite holiday song.

I love the entire Messiah, but my favorite single songs are O Holy Night and Joy to the World. I’m an organist and both of those sound fantastic on the organ ! Plus, the words aren’t too shabby either ;)

This song is associated with Christmas, but I love to listen during the holidays and anytime before or after when Vermont is getting snow. It is so appropriate. It is Let it Snow.

Rudolf the red nosed reindeer! It’s such a great song to sing (an earworm I gladly entertain) with such a simple message – just be you. I loved it ever since I was a kid and hum it around this time of the year to no end. Drives my hubby bonkers :)

Favorite holiday song is O Come All Ye Faithful, because a) it reminds me of my grandparents, and b) I actually know how to sing the harmony part! :)

There are so many choices but White Christmas, especially if you listen the the Pre verse. It was written in Hollywood where he was wishing for a white christmas. We moved to LA when I was a kid and the one time a year you want snow – CHRISTMAS!!!! Still miss it to this day and thats a long time ago!
I love Little Drummer Boy–I guess because the idea of giving Jesus something simple and heartfelt appeals to me.

There is something beautiful about that song that pulls out all of my emotions and makes me feel..I don’t know, something I can’t explain I guess! lol.

I love “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.” There is such a sad story behind the song, but he manages to end on a hopeful, positive note. After the year I have had, that is what I am hoping for this Christmas also.

Joy to the World! Is my favorite one to sing along to. My favorite one to listen to is Jesu, Son Most Sweet And Dear – with Kathleen Frost singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Wow, it is ethereal and I could have it on repeat for hours as I drive through the snow layered ever darkening night.
