Fabulous Friday with Alison and Missy from Makia Creations …

ShabbyBlogsCollageBlogFrame copy

At Makia Creations, it all began with passion for creativity.

Super Saturday Ideas

Nearly 10 years ago, Missy and Alison (two of the co-founders of HowDoesShe ) started sharing their crafting ideas and know-how with friends and neighbors, then in a weekly blog. It grew to include a small regional network of neighborhood craft groups and in a short time their innovative ideas for fresh and practical crafting projects began to gain a large following throughout the online crafting community.

What they found was this: Thousands of women wanted creative projects but didn’t have the time to run around to different locations hunting for all the tools and materials. Being wives and mothers themselves, Alison and Missy understood these challenges and started producing complete ready-to-make kits in their garages. The reception of their initial offering was overwhelming and they were out of "inventory" in a matter of days! At that point Makia was born. It was established to help women everywhere dive into the world of creativity and self-expression through innovative crafting.

We know that Makia Creations is about MORE than just crafting. Makia Creations is about having fun, feeling a sense of accomplishment, and sharing these joys with others.

Makia Creations makes crafting easy by supplying the ideas, the simple step-by-step instructions, and quality materials in handy, ready-to-make kits. The best part is, that because we've done the design and preparation, the kits are easy on the wallet and leave you more time for creating and having fun with your friends!

Beyond just offering pre-made craft kits for sale, we offer various opportunities for supplementing your income! You can become a Craft Group Leader as part of the Makia team! You’ll be joining with hundreds of women around the country who are discovering that they can turn their passion for creativity into a small, home-based business! This is a great way to do the things you love, inventing and inspiring others through unique and original craft projects, while earning supplemental income. And what a great way to make extra money. Who wouldn’t love getting out of the house and networking with other creative individuals and helping them be social, creative and expressive? So much fun.

Groupfun

If that is not what you're looking for, you could also host a craft group in your home on a regular basis, it’s fun, simple and you’ll have access to the latest Makia creations. Your friends and neighbors will love getting away from home for an occasional evening to join together and make the latest and greatest creations from the Makia catalogue. Dozens of new items every month will be available to you and your group. Your peers will love your insights and will admire the fabulous ideas you help them create for gifts, for home, for family.

So, what kind of craft kits do we offer? A little bit of everything! Whether you enjoy paper crafts, wood-working, or creating with fabric, you will find something you love at Makia! Here is a sampling of what you'll find:
