Fabulous Feature :

Antique Window

Where does the favorite item in your studio come from?  Did you pick it up at a local craft store?  Did you make it?  Maybe you found it at an antique store you came across?  That is where Pam found this lovely antique window.

“One of my favorite items is this antique window that I picked up at an antique shop in Arkansas. I have it sitting on a large bench that sits on an antique farm table that I use to create on. I love the window because it makes my wall look inviting and adds balance to the decorations and tools I have on the bench.”

Oh I love that pretty setting! It really does look inviting.

I have several old windows; some large some small. Just waiting for the weather to warm up more so I can wash them outside. They were found in the crawl space upstairs in the house I share with my brother! He gave them to me to ‘play’ with, so I will be watching for something Fab to do with them!

I found a fruitwood dining room hutch with glass on the top and closed storage on the bottom, for $60. I spent Fourth of July staining the outside with white and glazed over in gray, to match the walls in my shop, and the inside of the cabinet in the silvery gray “Storm” glaze. I then replaced the wood shelves with tempered glass so the light can shine through. I keep all my variety of ribbons on the bottom shelf and bridal accessories on the other two shelves! Great door and drawer storage underneath store all my packaging items, as well as SOME of my favorite materials and embellishments. Birdcage veiling, vintage brooches, rhinestones, crystals, laces, trims, feathers, etc., etc., etc.,

What a wonderful idea, and so pretty. Now I am going to be on the lookout for an old window to use in my studio. Just need to figure out where I would display it. This is absolutely fantastic, Pam. TFS
